CEU Professional Internship Programs

CEU offers a number of opportunities for a selected group of students to engage in highly substantive professional internships at various Budapest-based private, public and non-profit organizations. CEU Professional Internship Programs incoporate best practices of the very successful Bard College Globalization and International Affairs program in New York.

Students can participate in the internship organizations that operate in areas such as:

- International Law & Refugees - Human Rights & Minority Rights
- Public Health - Education, Children & Youth
- European Integration - Arts & Culture
- Envrionmental Policy - Archival Research
- Media & Journalism - International Politics & Security
- Countries in Transition - Gender Issues

- Jewish History & Culture

- International Business & Consulting

Please note: All internships are unpaid

List of CEU Professional Internship Programs for undergraduate and graduate students

1. Internship programs combined with a semester-based study abroad at CEU

Eligible students: juniors or students who finished at least 4 semesters of their undegraduate studies

- Fall study abroad at CEU with internship (Sep- Dec)

- Winter study abroad at CEU (Jan-Apr) with internship (Apr-Jun)

2. Internship programs available throughout the CEU academic year

Eligible students: seniors and graduate students

- Fall internship program (Sep-Dec)

- Winter internship program (Jan-Apr)

- Spring internship program (Apr-Jun)

- Winter&Spring internship program (Jan-Jun)

3. Summer Institute (Jun-Aug) with internship and academic program

Eligible students: juniors, seniors and graduate students

- Summer Institute (Jun-Aug)

Please note: PIP is highly competitive. Students are not guaranteed an internship; assignments are developed in concert with CEU and are based on a student’s experience, interest, and internship availability.
