The Bard-CEU program provides a balance of independence and support to undergraduate learners who are prepared for the challenge of a graduate school environment. Students have the freedom to choose their own courses while receiving close mentoring to facilitate engagement and success.

Interdisciplinary & Advanced

The full catalog of CEU master's level courses is available to Bard-CEU participants. Students are challenged to employ critical thinking and rhetorical skills in seminar-style classes. Students return from the program with honed academic goals and the ability to thrive in the graduate school environment.

Summer Policy Internship Program

Earn six course credits in cooperation with CEU's School of Public Policy, and engage in a professional internship.

Language of Instruction

English is the language of instruction and communication at CEU; however, students may also study a foreign language. The Center for Academic Writing offers courses in: Hungarian, French, German, Russian, and Spanish. Elementary Hungarian provides vocabulary that is helpful in daily life. The Source Language Teaching Group offers courses in regional and classical languages. Recent offerings include: Arabic, Bosnian/ Croatian/Serbian, Classic Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Classical Syriac, and Turkish.
